Pairings With a Purpose: Thursday, February 28th Recap

Feeding San Diego's "Pairings with a Purpose" event united philanthropists and community advocates for an evening of gourmet cuisine and social impact. With plates filled and glasses raised, attendees came together, raising money to fight hunger in San Diego. Let's recap the highlights of this impactful event where food and generosity intersected.

The renowned Callie restaurant downtown, celebrated nationally for its exceptional cuisine, graciously closed its doors for the evening to transform its stunning space into the venue for the event. At the helm, restaurant owner and head chef Travis Swikard masterfully curated a selection of exquisite dishes, adding layers of culinary allure to this remarkable fundraising event.

All proceeds from the evening went towards supporting Feeding San Diego's longstanding hunger-relief programs for children, including the School Pantry Program, Backpack Program, Produce Pantry Program, and more.

Together, the event raised a total of $217,518, bolstered further by the generous contribution of an anonymous donor who matched the funds raised. This remarkable achievement translates to an incredible 435,036 meals for families in need throughout San Diego.
