#FridayFavorites: Kellen's Favorite Fitness Spots

For the next few weeks, we're going to let our fall interns take the reins and share with you some of their interests and talents. This week, we introduce our intern Kellen. Kellen is a junior at DePaul University majoring in public relations and advertising. Kellen is passionate about music, fashion and fitness, Now that fall has arrived, Kellen has been looking for fun new things to do indoors. What's better than getting in a great workout at some of the area's coolest fitness spots? From yoga to barre to cycling, there is so much to do here in Chicago. Kellen loves to change it up as much as she can, so here are some of her favorite fitness spots in the city.

 

 

Exhale Chicago

Barre, Yoga, Bootcamp, Cardio, Spa

Looking to change up your fitness routine? Exhale offers a variety of classes from Core Fusion Barre, Bootcamp, Cardio, and Yoga. The hardwood floors, natural accents, and large wooden doors provide an added zen experience. Not only can you get your sweat on at Exhale, they also have a spa. After class you can opt for the eucalyptus steam room, a facial, massage, or manicure. Working out just got a little more luxurious!

 

 

 

 

Corepower Yoga

Heated Yoga

Corepower Yoga is a place for people of all levels to come together. Whether you prefer to take it slow and easy or want to push yourself to your limits, most classes are catered to yogis of every level. However, they offer a variety of classes from heated power vinyasa, restorative, sculpt, and a fusion of hot and power yoga. Each instructor’s class is unique so you can really get a sense of their personality and best of all, their great tastes in music.

 

 


 

Pure Barre

Barre

You may or may have not heard of barre before. These ballet inspired classes are a full body toning class where you can challenge yourself while also practicing proper form. Their knowledgeable instructors provide hands on adjustments to properly align your body and protect your muscles and joints.

 

 

 

 

 

SoulCycle

Cycling

This place is no joke. Get ready for a high intensity cardio workout. You will sweat, dance, and jam out to the beat of the music. Classes are dim lit and infused with their signature grapefruit candle adding a fun aroma and allowing you to really get into your cycling. I always come out feeling refreshed and super challenged.

 

 

 

 

 

AIR Aerial Fitness

Aerial Yoga

Now is your time to get upside down and soar through the air like an acrobat. You may have seen professional dancers or circus acrobats fly on these hanging fabrics but anyone can get a great workout at this studio.  AIR is great for beginners and fitness enthusiasts alike. You will work your strength and flexibility to get into poses you would never imagine. The fabrics are a unique new way to sculpt and stretch those muscles.
