Here at Chrome City, we pride ourselves in having ultra-creative and inspiring homies throughout the Chicago area. Each week, the Chrome Chronicle (our news outlet) will share a little bit about these incredible people and why we are excited to feature them as our #ChromeHomie.
Let us introduce our Homie, Greer.
Greer Worthington of Corporate Concierge Services
Q: What is your role at Corporate Concierge Services?
A: As a 5-Star Manager and Corporate Event Concierge, my position is dedicated to altering the culture of the workplace, supporting increased productivity, expanding entertainment opportunities, and employee wellness. Responsibilities include and are not limited to: Conference Center management, Marketing, Tenant Amenities & Relations, full range of Concierge services, and a lead role on Leasing tours for prospective tenants of the building. By adhering to these responsibilities my role is an asset to the building which I work in and contributes to a high occupancy and retention rate.
Q: How did you end up in Chicago?
A: I took a risk and sold everything I owned to move to Chicago. I was born and raised in San Diego, California and was itching to really do something to make a difference. Moving here is definitely the best thing I have done for myself and career; it is a spectacular city to create a future as a young professional.
Q: What is your favorite part about this city?
A: I love that Chicago isn’t a rat race like most other cosmopolitan cities. The community here is so supportive and understands that to be better, get better, and do awesome things, you have to work together- not against each other. In some way or another- we are all connected!
Q: How did you meet Alex?
A: I met Alex in the 2nd grade. Her aunt and uncle lived across the street from me and then we ended up on the same soccer team in 3rd grade. We’ve been best friends ever since!
Q: Who has influenced you the most in your career?
A: Without a doubt my father has been my biggest influencer. A retired Special Operations Admiral in the Navy, he embedded what it means to work hard, never quit, stay humble, to always be a team player, and to never be a sore loser. He taught me how to be well-rounded, inquisitive, and open minded.
Q: What inspires or motivates you?
A: Maintaining an altruistic attitude keeps me going. I am inspired when I see strangers help other people.
Q: What is your creative process?
A: My job essentially is to make things happen and make people happy. I have “lightbulb” moments all of the time. I crave feedback, positive and negative, because without this I can’t work to exceed the expectations of my clients which is the end goal. To create an experience you must understand that the evolution of an idea is where you’ll find success. You can quote that.
Thanks for being a Chrome Homie, Greer!
