Halloween is just like a mixed bag of candy- you never know what you are going to get. Whether you want something sweet, spicy and just straight up funky, we’ve got a few of Chicago’s top parties for you to check out. Check out our list of places to see and be seen this weekend:
1. The Sinner Inside You at Locallective
The Sinner Inside You will be a Halloween event unlike any other. From 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Saturday, October 31st, Locallective Loft in Wicker Park will transform into a winding den of hedonistic pleasure and pain. The Sinner Inside You will allow guests to let their inherent sexuality and darkest fantasies take over for a night. The party will feature dominatrix Sally Marvel, a church confessional where guests will confess their sins and beg for forgiveness, a resident siren wailing at the center of a wiccan-inspired ceremonial lounge, and disorienting passageways that lead guests into mini theatrical sets, testing their mettle and strength. More haunting, undisclosed scenes will be unveiled at the party. The Sinner Inside You will feature a live performance by new wave 80’s revivalist band Perfect Kiss, and DJ sets from Alfonso Mayen, Leo Saucedo, and FVR NOW's Will Galvan. Tickets here.
2. Playboy Club Chicago 1960 at Soho House
We can’t wait to timetravel back to the 60’s at the Soho House on Halloween for a 60’s themed pajama costume party that will celebrate Playboy and it’s Chicago-based history. Featuring a retro roller disco, vintage bowling alley, jazz tunes from Frank Catalano, and many more, this Halloween event will pay homage to retro Playboy and all things bunny.
3. That 70’s Party at Brass Monkey
If the 60’s aren’t doing it for you, Brass Monkey is planning the ultimate 70’s themed costume party for their Fulton Market location complete with a vinyl room and plenty of space to boogie down. Get ready to hit the dance floor all night with some funky 70’s tunes from Brian B Vax and DJ Lady D. The event will feature a costume contest, $5 drink specials, photos with vintage cars, and a dance performance by Body Movin’ Dance. 70’s attire is highly encouraged for this groovy Halloween event. Tickets here.
