While the seasons are evolving and things are starting to get a little chilly, Chrome City clients have some pretty enticing events that are sure to warm you up. We've compiled a list of the top events in November from a Vaudeville-inspired club opening to finding out whose sauce is boss at Marinarathon. Check out our list of top things to do in Chicago this month:
NOW OPEN: Smokey Hollow
343 W. Erie
You can find the Chrome City crew at Smokey Hollow every Thursday, Friday and Saturday for an entertainment experience unlike anything else in the city. Smokey Hollow pays homage to Chicago’s rich history and decades filled with revelry by showcasing the evolution of entertainment from the late 1800's through the 1900's. The industrial space is filled with marquee lights, red velvet curtains and exposed brick. The nightlife theater genre has seen success in New York, LA, and Las Vegas, but Smokey Hollow is the first of its kind in Chicago, featuring nightly pop-up performances from musicians to magicians, contortionists to impersonators and more.
BOSS OF SAUCE: Marinarathon
Sunday, November 15th
Morgan Manufacturing: 401 N. Morgan
Who wouldn’t want to nosh on bites from Chicago’s top Italian restaurants while sipping on wine and limoncello? Marinarathon will be that and much more on November 15th at Morgan Manufacturing. This competition between Chicago's top Italian restaurants will determine whose sauce is boss based on the presentation of their tomato-based sauce. The event is produced by esteemed Chicago event planner Rachel De Marte and Genuine Chicago’s Vince Anzalone, who together have gathered fourteen quality contenders ranging from old-school restaurants like Rosebud, to new-school Formento's for an afternoon of Italian bliss. With some of Chicago’s top foodies serving as judges (you get to vote too!), carbo-loading will never feel so good!
MINI DOSE: Dose Market at Soho House
November 15th, 2015
Soho House Chicago: 113 N. Green
Dose Market is devoted to showcasing Chicago's finest designers, chefs, makers, bakers, entrepreneurs and artists. This dynamic and eclectic marketplace is the best one-stop-shop for holiday gifts because (almost) everything showcased is made with love right here in Chicago. If you can’t make this one, don’t worry because the annual Holidose is around the corner. On Sunday, December 13th, Holidose will mark the 50th Dose marketplace since its inception in June 2011 by founder and producer (and Chrome Homie) April Francis. Stay tuned for the full Holidose lineup.
