#ChromeHomie: Kelly Rizzo

November 11, 2015

Here at Chrome City, we pride ourselves in having ultra-creative and inspiring homies throughout the Chicago area. Each week, the Chrome Chronicle (our news outlet) will share a little bit about these incredible people and why we are excited to feature them as our #ChromeHomie.

Let us introduce our Homie, Kelly.

Kelly Rizzo of Eat, Travel, Rock

Q: What is your role at Eat, Travel, Rock?

A: I am a food and music TV host/blogger/expert and travel addict.  I produce my own web series Eat Travel Rock TV as well as do many other TV appearances, local and national, sharing my favorites in food and music.

Q: How did you end up in Chicago?

A: Born and raised here baby!!

Q: What is your favorite part about this city?

A: The beauty can’t be touched. To have a city this big and bustling with the most gorgeous skyline, RIGHT ON the most scenic lake front is unheard of. Plus the food is out of this world.

Q: How did you meet Alex?

A: We met through an amazing charity project called Avanse she was doing the PR for.  I emceed the event, it was such an honor working with her AND the incredible Avanse organization.

Q: Who has the most influence on your career?

A: My mom… she is the career woman who has done it all.  She had a successful modeling and broadcasting career for 15 years and then became the top Realtor in Chicago all while raising three girls and having a happy marriage.

Q: What is your creative process?

A: I’m a bit all over the place because I have SO much going on, traveling, TV, dining out every night… but I have ZERO fear, so when I get an idea, I just go for it. I don’t care who I have to talk to or who might “say no” to me. I just go for it and know that everything is a great learning experience.

Thanks for being a Chrome Homie, Kelly!
