#ChromeCrew: Late Night Jaunts

June 14, 2016

Chicago is full of hidden gems and a lot of them shine especially bright at night. We've gathered some of our favorite nightly hotspots in the city for the next time you are looking for a late night jaunt. No matter what mood you are in, there is a place you can spend drinking and dancing the night away!

For when you wish you were a flapper...

Bordel

Located in the heart of Wicker Park, Bordel is an intimate, throwback cocktail bar and speakeasy that’s above Black Bull. After you climb the red staircase to an unmarked door, you’ll enter a  Parisian inspired _ with red velvet, torn vintage wallpaper, slightly rac sketches, and posters covering the walls. The intimate space is reminiscent of the Left Bank in the 1920s and 30s and brings that era to life with jazz inspired Wednesday, bossa nova Thursdays, and full on flamenco Fridays and Saturdays. Owned by the amazing Dani Alonso, Bordel promises amazing live music and performances with killer punch bowl drinks.

For when you crave exclusivity...

Soho House

As an international hotspot, Soho House in Chicago offers many different areas to explore on your high society night out. The 5th floor is members only, but it has amazing nightly DJs, live band performances, and various areas to relax and enjoy your surroundings. If you go one floor up, you’ll get an amazing view of the city and poolside fireplaces on the members only 6th floor rooftop. However, the Fox Bar on the first floor is open to the public and still serves up some great cocktails and FVRNOW, Will Galvan and Jackie Trezz, have a dope DJ set in the first floor bar once a month that is not to miss.

For when you are feeling extra sexy…

Celeste

Given the title “River North’s Sexiest 5am Bar,” Celeste lives up to its expectations as it is reminiscent of a glamorous, turn-of-the-century Chicago. The four-level space offers something for everyone from the first floor bar with crafted cocktails, the cozy second floor restaurant, third floor dance hall, to the fourth floor intimate rooftop garden. The details of the space have been carefully planned out from the menu to the Art Deco-inspired interior design to the celestial theme throughout the floors. As one of the sexiest late night spots open until 5am, it’s easy to lose yourself in the beauty of the rooftop garden watching the sun rise over River North.

For when you want a fun, casual night out…

Slippery Slope

Slippery Slope offers a party every night in Logan Square promising a good time full of DJs, dancing, bottled cocktails, rad beers, and skeeball. Every third Tuesday of the month, Jeff Moyer of NEO pedigree tunes up a synthy, electro-pop batch of New Wave classics. Sip on some refreshing drinks at the retro bar or turn it up on the dancefloor. The music ranges from old funk classics to the modern pop hits of today. You’ll be seeing red by the end of the night from the overhead lighting and vinyl red booths decorating the space.

For when you want to dance your ass off...

Bar Deville

If you are looking for an insane dance party, head to Bar Deville in the Ukrainian Village. The space was originally meant to be a casual dive bar for hanging out every night, but it has become even more with its three “drunkenly comfortable” rooms with exposed brick, an antique pool table, and a mix of unique flea market furniture. The front room with the bar and booth seating offers a chill lounge and as you walk through the middle room with a fun photo booth station, you enter the real party. The bar always brings a fun crowd and an eclectic mix of people for their raging dance parties.
