Tucked away on Lincoln Avenue with caved ceilings and specialty spirits is Lincoln Park's boutique late night bar, The Drop Lounge. Chrome City was brought on to develop a series of programs to introduce the two-year old brand to creative audiences in the city. With an emphasis on taking care of members of the hospitality industry, Chrome City worked with Diageo Liquors to create a guest bartender series and art show. Here's what you can expect from the events.
Each month the underground getaway is featuring an art series with pieces from artists around the city, as well as a guest bartender event at the end of the month. The Drop Lounge is bringing people together to experience unique art that will benefit a particular charity. There will be a cocktail on special, and $1 of every cocktail sold will go towards the charity associated with that event.
This past Friday, the series began with the Elements Art Series: Blacklight Art Show, featuring both canvas and installed pieces that uniquely lit up when the blacklight was shined on them. Additionally, there was a blacklight body painter transforming attendees into art. These two pieces were uniquely hand painted by Laura Luisa Cowell. Right, "Puggy Ducky." Bottom, "Slice of Life."
