November is already here and we are anxiously awaiting holiday season! Chicago has been especially kind to us with this amazing weather so late in the year, but we are ready for cups of hot chocolate and comfy sweaters all the same. As we count down the days until Thanksgiving, these are the events we are looking forward to this month in the city!
Beginning November 18th until Christmas Eve, you can visit the Christkindel Market in the Loop everyday. As more than a German tradition, the outdoor market has become a Chicago institution full of German food and drinks and holiday entertainment. Admission is free, so don't miss out on the unique shopping experience that brings in people from all over the world.
On Saturday, November 19th Sub Chroma returns to merge music with art and technology by crossing boundaries into virtual and augmented reality. The event will be held in Moonlight Studios and feature physical and virtual gallery rooms as well as a main space for guests to experience the virtual reality and create their own artwork. Featuring Lefty and DrmBt, Derrick Carter will headline.
Two Door Cinema Club
Two Door Cinema Club will perform at the Aragon Ballroom for their world tour on Friday, November 25th at 8:30pm.
The indie rock band is known for their rock meets punk meets pop sound and tracks like "What You Know" and "Are We Ready?" Tickets are still available so snag them before the concert sells out!
Beginning Friday, November 25th the Lincoln Park Zoo will look a lot different and much more colorful at night. The park will get a makeover with the annual light display which has become a city-wide tradition and popular holiday destination. The first 1000 people through the gates each night receive special glasses to view the lights with, but everyone can enjoy nightly ice carving demonstrations, hot beverages and ice skating on the zoo's rink.
Bulls v. Lakers Game
You can't miss out on attending a Bulls game this season and we recommend checking out the Bulls/Lakers match-up on Wednesday, November 30th at 7:00pm. Find tickets to see the Chicago team play on their home turf at the United Center. After the Cubs World Series Championship (yay!), this is definitely the year for ALL Chicago sports teams to reign champions!
