Chrome City is thrilled to announce our first major event of 2017. Style of Sound was born when our CEO saw the diversity of festivals Chicago offered and wanted to showcase looks that captured the essence of them. We chose one of Chicago’s top stylists (and close friend) Elizabeth Margulis of Big Hair Big City to co-produce a music-inspired fashion show at DISCO (111 W. Hubbard) with a cocktail reception on Celeste's beautiful rooftop garden on Saturday, May 20th. We will celebrate local designers and boutiques while playing some of the best tracks from artists you can check out this summer at Mamby on the Beach, Riot Fest, Lollapalooza, North Coast, and Pitchfork.
Expect some beach-y vibes for Mamby on the Beach and punk and metal-inspired looks for Riot Fest. The curated looks will push boundaries while highlighting the city’s top designers and boutiques. Some of Chicago’s top social media and creative influencers will be walking the lighted runway on the dancefloor to a set by DISCO's music director, Saam Hagshenas. We're also lucky enough to work with premiere makeup artists from Make Up First and top Chicago salon, Custom Hair Lounge!
Guests can preview Liz Pearce’s new spring cocktails on the Rooftop before the show begins at 10pm in DISCO. After the show, you can catch the #ChromeCrew dancing the night away at DISCO, which opens at 11pm!
To RSVP for the general event beginning at 8pm, reserve your spot at celestechicago.com/rsvp. Space is limited due to capacity, but we hope you will join us for a special evening that celebrates the hard work of Chicago creatives who have spent countless hours producing some of the top festivals in the world!
