June #ChromeCalendar

June 1, 2017

We know you've been waiting for this all year long, and we have too. SUMMER IN CHICAGO! This city is nothing short of action packed during the warmer months and we're here for it baby! From kickin it at street fests to a dose of everything digital and wearing our colors with pride, here's what the #ChromeCrew is doing in June!

June 2nd - June 4th Do Division Street Fest on Division Street from Ashland Street to Leavit Street

We're kicking off our summer festival season right in our neighborhood! Spanning ten city blocks, the weekend street shindig from June 2nd to the 4th features vendors and restaurants from across Chicago, two stages with live music from artists such as The Ponys, ADULT., Shannon and the Clams, and WebsterX, as well as a sidewalk sale full of family fun activities including a fashion show! Catch us rocking tiger face paint and attempting to sneak into the bounce houses (we're adults, we promise).

June 14th Sub Chroma Preview x Red Bull TV Episode Viewing Party at Canvas

Boost your senses into overdrive with the Canvas crew on Wednesday, June 14th for a sneak peek at Sub Chroma 2017, annual production that fuses music, art, and creative technology into a multi-sensory, immersive event. Starting at 7pm, guests will get a look at this year’s digital art concepts, performance lineup, and venue. Also featured will be the Chicago premiere screening of Red Bull TV‘s mini-documentary about Canvas and Sub Chroma. Presale tickets for the 2017 event will  be available for purchase throughout the night. RSVP for all the craft cocktails, performances, and virtual reality fun here!

June 24th - June 25th Mamby on the Beach at Oakwood Beach

Skipping out on spending your hard earned dough on a beach vacation? Us too! Get your toes in the sand and kick it with some lakeside jams. Chicago's only beach festival, this year's Mamby lineup features top artists like MGMT, Sango, and our personal favorite, Flying Lotus. We all know how short beach season can be here in the city, so grab some tickets and your homies and soak up the sun while you can!

June 25th 48th Annual Chicago Pride Parade on Halsted and Broadway between Montrose and Diversey

Time to dust off your favorite rainbow tee Chicago because Chicago's Pride Parade is bigger and gayer than ever! This year's grand marshall, Lea DeLaria of Orange is the New Black will lead marchers and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community down Broadway and Halsted between Montrose and Diversey. From leather to drag and TONS of glitter, there's something for everyone, queer or not. Our favorite spot to take it all in is right outside of the massive crowds in Boystown on Broadway and Irving Park, come say hi!
