This past Saturday, Chrome City hosted our first major production of 2017! Co-produced by Elizabeth Margulis of Big Hair Big City, one of the top stylists in Chicago, our music-inspired fashion show was held at Disco with a cocktail reception on Celeste's rooftop garden. Influencers and creatives from across Chicago strutted down the runway, featuring looks inspired by festivals such as Mamby on the Beach, North Coast, Pitchfork, Lollapalooza, and Riot Fest while guests sipped on frozen drinks from signature disco ball cups atop Disco's sexy fur couches.
The curated looks pushed major fashion boundaries while highlighting the city’s top designers and boutiques, featuring pieces from local and national retailers such as: Fab'rik, Doc Martens, Felt, Knee Deep Vintage, Topshop, Luxury Garage Sale, Le Barf Bathing Suits, DPTR, Belmont Army and more. Guests caught some serious beach-y vibes for Mamby on the Beach as well as punk and metal-inspired looks for Riot Fest.
Some of Chicago’s top social media and creative influencers absolutely KILLED IT on Disco's LED lit runway. Models included Shai Chung of Drunk on Shoes; Ariel Ginsburg of Ariel Peche; Julia Daoud of Simply Jules; Evan Marshall, the editor of High Fashion Living; Mamby on the Beach performer, Ravyn Lenae, and street artist, Jas Petersen. The show was coordinated to a funky set by DISCO's music director, Saam Hagshenas, who spun top hits from this summer's festival scene!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! Special thanks to all of our amazing models, our favorite Chicago salon, Custom Hair Lounge for the hot looks, Make Up First School of Makeup Artistry for a night of glam, and of course, Elizabeth Margulis of Big Hair Big City for making this production a huge success!
