#ChromeHomie: Nevsy Rothe

June 9, 2017

Here at Chrome City we pride ourselves in having ultra-creative and inspiring homies throughout the Chicago area. Each week, the Chrome Chronicle will share a little bit about these incredible people and why we are excited to feature them as our #ChromeHomie.

Let us introduce our Homie, Nevsy!

Nevsy Rothe, CEO & Founder of Custom Hair Lounge

Q: Explain your job position.

A: I am an International All-Star for the leading men’s hair company American Crew, as well as the founder and co-owner of Custom Hair Lounge + Spa located in the heart of Chicago's exclusive Lincoln Park neighborhood

Q: What inspires and motivates you?

A: My background in fashion and constant traveling back and forth to Europe keep me driven to create. I love The Tate Museum and going to art exhibits to find inspiration for colors and texture.

Q: What are some of your favorite hair trends right now?

A: Texture and shine! Wet locks are huge right now and super easy to do. Accessories and gold foil are hot for festival season. Men are loving the high side fade with long top look, like Ryan Reynolds.

Q: You're celebrating Custom Hair Lounge's Ten Year Anniversary soon- what about Custom Hair Lounge keeps it relevant in an industry that is constantly changing?

A: Our salon offers an intimate boutique experience with our stylists that are up to date on trends in cuts, colors, and styles. Our staff is super friendly and being located in Lincoln Park gives the space an open and welcoming feel.

Q: What are you most looking forward to for the rest of 2017?

A:  Our salon's ten year anniversary in Lincoln Park, #CHLTEN! We're throwing a party to thank our friends, family, and favorite clients for their love and support throughout the years.

Thanks for being a #ChromeHomie, Nevsy!
