Chicago is one of the best places to be on Valentine’s day. Whether you are celebrating with friends, family, or a special someone, the #ChromeCrew has your back for what to do on this romantic holiday. In this post, we will cover everything from Valentine’s day specials at our favorite restaurants, to places to go and activities to do on February 14th!
Dinner, Drinks, & Some Disco Dancing >>>
Go out for drinks and dinner at Celeste, and dance the night away on the third floor at DISCO. For the Valentine’s Day special price of $22, Celeste is offering a choice of four new dishes and a glass of Piper Champagne or Navaran Rose Cava. In addition, take advantage of Celeste‘s 5-8 pm deal which includes their $8 cocktails and chef’s select dishes. You will not be disappointed! Their special menu is listed below:
Seared Tuna | Cucumber Salad, Sauce Gribiche
Pappardelle | Truffle Butter, Pecorino
Burger & Fries | Slagel Farms Ground Beef, Bacon, Truffle Aioli
Crispy Chicken Thighs | Creamy Heirloom Beans, Spicy Glaze
<<< A Night of Live Music
There is a variety of different options for the music lover on Valentine’s day. One unique option is Awolnation, a native Los Angeles, California, alternative electronic rock band is performing at Aragon Ballroom. They are really dope band to see perform live and you're not going to want to miss this performance. For a killer concert experience, we recommend going to see STRFKR at Concord Music Hall. A popular band with upbeat jams that are fun to dance and sing along to with whoever you’re celebrating Valentines day with!
A Cozy, Romantic Evening >>>
Get a big bang for your buck at the West Loop’s only wine bar, The Press Room, a subterranean space located inside the Historic Methodist Publishing House building, for the ultimate romantic Valentine’s day experience! Their special for February 14th is a delicious three course dinner for $75 (excluding tax and tip). Make sure to make a reservation as space is limited. For reservations, click here.
<<< Skate Through The City
Valentine’s day is the perfect excuse to go on a romantic ice skating date. The skating ribbon at Maggie Daley Park is not your regular ice skating rink. Contrary to regular oval shaped ice skating rinks, this skating ribbon is a track which is surrounded by the beautiful views of the Chicago skyline. This ice skating experience is guaranteed to be something you won’t forget!
Authentic Food & Sexy Speakeasy >>>
Dine at an authentic (and romantic) Spanish restaurant, Black Bull this Valentine's Day. This rustic-chic restaurant is located in Wicker Park and is inspired by traditional dishes from Spain. Black Bull is offering lots of great deals for Valentine’s day such as the happy hour special from 5-8 PM which includes three Pintxos for $10 and drinks starting at $5. Also, when Bordel, a sexy speakeasy located in the same building, opens at 7pm, guests can head upstairs to listen to free live jazz sets. The starter package special for $24 will be available through the 14th-17th.
